Conklin Releases Update on Houselessness

In on November 29, 2023, the Conklin Resource Development Advisory Committee released “Conklin Housing and Service Needs Estimation.” The report, co-authored by Peter Fortna and Emma Watt outlines a dire situation where the authors estimate that approximately 86% of the local population is housing insecure.

The report was co-authored by Peter Fortna and Emma Wallace of the Rural Development Network, provides a detailed examination of the current housing situation in Conklin as well as a series of recommendations for action.
